I joined in a debate on NME yesterday about what bands you miss, that are now defunct.

It got me thinking, and of course all the bands that I miss are from the indie/Britpop era (with a few exceptions of course)

So here they are:

1. Nirvana
2. The Longpigs
3. Echobelly
4. Cast
5. Crowded House
6. Sleeper
7. Menswear
8. Suede (The Tears just aren't the same)
9. Pulp
10. Blur

Any comments, suggestions or 'where are you now' style comments would be much appreciated!!

4 weeks tomorrow until I pack my bags and head off to Reading - so excited! I will be bringing you all the goss and best performances, hopefully with some links to the cool stuff from the festival and some pics.

I'm really looking forward to Muse, the Arctic Monkeys, Pearl Jam (although that last one means I have to miss Maximo Park, but it will be worth it!) and the Kaiser Chiefs, but also seeing some of the smaller bands that i will think will be huge- like the Guillemots, Pigeon Detectives and get cape.wear cape.fly!

I am also looking forward to seeing some old friends, meeting some new ones, and generally getting rather tipsy!!
